Kokua Geotech LLC was established in 2016 by our company President, Xiaobin (Tim) Lin, P.E. Tim is a geotechnical engineer with 27 years of experience working on a wide variety of projects involving different types of foundation systems and subsurface conditions in Hawaii and the Pacific. Tim has extensive experience in soil investigations and design of shallow/deep foundations, soil-structure modeling, rockfall studies, and foundation construction monitoring.

Our company Vice President, A.J. Felkel, P.E., is a geotechnical engineer with 26 years of experience working on a wide variety of projects in Hawaii and the Pacific including several large multi-use residential developments and numerous roadway and utility infrastructure projects. A.J. has extensive experience working with problematic soil conditions such as expansive clays and soils with high in-situ moisture contents.
